Terms of service

Last updated 6 September 2026

The short version. Waveanism counts Elliott Waves on price data you give it. It is a tool for your own analysis, not financial advice, and nothing it produces is a recommendation to trade. Subscriptions are monthly and you can cancel any time.

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and Machine Quotient Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17444151), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, trading as Waveanism. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means the person or organisation holding the account.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create one.

2. What the service is

Waveanism analyses price data that you supply and produces Elliott Wave counts from it. It applies the rules and guidelines of Elliott Wave analysis, scores the readings that survive those rules, and presents them along with measurements, ratios and targets.

What your plan includes — how many counts a month, how many alternate readings, how many timeframes, and whether the trained model is used — is shown on our pricing page and may be changed on notice.

3. What it is not

This section matters more than the others, so it is not buried.

If you want advice about investments, speak to someone authorised to give it.

4. Your account

5. Plans, payment and renewal

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and does not renew. We do not pro-rate part months.

That is the ordinary route and it applies at any point in your subscription. If you are still within your first 14 days you have a further right, set out below, which can get you money back.

Your statutory cancellation right

As a consumer you have 14 days from the day after you subscribe to change your mind. That right is yours whether or not you have used the service, and nothing here removes it.

By subscribing you are asking us to begin supplying the service straight away rather than waiting for those 14 days to pass. You keep the right to cancel; asking us to start early only means we may charge for what you have actually used by the time you tell us.

So, if you cancel within the 14 days:

We measure how much of the service you have used against how many counts your plan provides for the month. If you have used a tenth of it, we keep a tenth and return the rest (for example, if you have run 25 counts of a plan that includes 250 counts a month, we keep a tenth and return the rest). Your account page shows where you stand, so you can check the figure yourself.

To use this right, email us at support@waveanism.com within the 14 days. The cancel button on your account page is a different thing: it stops the subscription renewing and lets it run to the end of the period you have paid for, which is what most people want but is not a refund. If you are inside your first 14 days and want your money back, tell us.

We will refund to the card you paid with promptly, and in any event within 14 days of you telling us. In practice it is usually the same day. Your bank then takes a few working days to show it. If you think we have worked the amount out wrongly, tell us and we will look again - but we will not hold the refund up while we do.

After the 14 days this right ends, and cancelling works as described at the top of this section.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section.

8. Your data and your files

Your price files remain yours. We read each one once to build the price series and drop it when the count finishes; it is never written to disk and no copy is kept. We claim no rights over your data and do not use it to train anything.

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy notice.

9. Intellectual property

The service, its software, the trained model and the Waveanism name remain ours. Your subscription is a licence to use the service, not a transfer of any of it.

The counts and charts produced from your data are yours to use, including commercially — in your own analysis, your reports, or your published work. We ask only that you do not present the service's output as a service of your own to third parties.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be. We may take it down for maintenance, and will try to do so at quiet times and to give notice where the work is planned.

We do not offer a service level agreement or availability credits on these plans.

11. If the service does not work

Separately from anything in the next section, the law gives you rights in the service itself. We have to perform it with reasonable care and skill, and anything we tell you about it that you rely on becomes part of what you are owed. Nothing here removes those rights.

In practice, if the service fails you:

None of this applies to a count you simply disagree with. The service shows several readings precisely because the rules permit more than one, and a reading you would not have chosen is not a fault.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Nor does anything here limit what we owe you if we fail to take reasonable care over what we send to your computer. If we served you software or a page that damaged your machine, your files or your data - because we had been compromised, or because we shipped something we should have caught - the limit below does not apply to it. We would not expect a limit on that to be enforceable, and we would rather say so than rely on one.

Subject to that:

13. Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time from your account page. Doing so deletes your personal data as described in the privacy notice.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if payment fails and is not resolved, or if we are required to by law. If we end your subscription other than for a breach by you, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
